2007 – Nationwide Companies Flourish Despite Tough Economic Times
Despite signs of recession and a particularly difficult economic environment in Michigan, the Nationwide Companies experienced their most successful year in its history with preliminary year-end revenues exceeding 2006 revenues by almost 15%.

Nationwide’s commitment to diversify and expand its construction operations beyond its traditional boundaries led to incredible growth opportunities across the country.  Nationwide forged into new territory in 2007, leading projects as prime contractor in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi and West Virginia.  Construction operations continued or expanded in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.  The outlook for 2008 is bright with a substantial book of business secured by contract.

Nationwide stimulates the construction equipment industry
In a year where many companies contracted their operations, Nationwide did its part to stimulate the construction equipment market by committing over $1,000,000 to expand its equipment portfolio.  To assist in its concrete operations, Nationwide recently purchased a Gomaco Slip Form Paver.  This machine is expected to double the efficiency of its concrete crews and should arrive in March, 2008.  Nationwide also purchased a new Gradall forklift, 9 new Bobcat Track Loaders, two new semi tractors, two dump trucks and a guardrail “Thumper” truck.  These acquisitions allow Nationwide’s crews to operate with unparalleled efficiency, a critical aspect when work is “logistically challenging”.

Cable Guardrail Leads the Way!
State Departments of Transportation are discovering that cable guardrail or wire rope safety fence as it is commonly termed is a safe, economical and reliable way to protect motorists on today’s highways.  Nationwide, now in its sixth year as the preeminent cable guardrail contracting company in the country, installed over 250,000 lineal feet of cable in 2007.   The Georgia DOT recently awarded contracts to Nationwide for 410,000 lineal feet of cable guardrail on Georgia highways in 2008.
